Job Description
This role is responsible for executing the audit process efficiently within a variety of stakeholder environments. It requires a strong ability to independently and objectively provide assurance and insights that strengthen client-centric risk management.
You will collaborate with Audit Leads to review and evaluate high-risk areas across the business, offering assurance to the Group Audit Committee, Business Executives, and Shareholders that sound governance practices and effective internal controls are consistently applied throughout the financial period.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of key business processes, along with supporting activities performed by enabling functions.
- Stay informed about annual risk priorities within the business area as well as emerging industry trends that influence risk and control practices.
- Identify weaknesses or enhancement opportunities within the control environment and recommend improvements to the relevant process owners.
- Deliver assigned components of audit, advisory, or proactive assurance engagements in line with GIA methodology and quality standards.
- Accurately report significant issues or audit findings, presenting them concisely and clearly, with well-substantiated explanations of their materiality and impact.
- Recommend suitable corrective actions and secure management’s commitment to remediation, documenting agreements precisely and comprehensively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, Oracle Database, or Cisco Networking are advantageous.
Experience Required
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, IT control frameworks, cloud platforms, emerging technologies, and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements and their implications for IT systems.
- Solid understanding of banking systems, operational procedures, and contemporary internal audit practices.
