Fully Funded Opportunity for Young Entrepreneurs: Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), in collaboration with One Young World and RVO, is now accepting applications for the Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026. This prestigious, fully funded programme supports outstanding young entrepreneurs across Africa and the Middle East who are driving scalable, impact-led ventures.

Selected candidates will represent their countries at the One Young World Summit 2026, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, where the world’s brightest young leaders gather to shape a more sustainable and inclusive future.


What the Scholarship Covers

The Enterprising Futures Scholarship is more than just a funded trip—it’s a complete leadership and venture-growth experience. Successful applicants will receive:

  • Full funding to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town (including travel, accommodation, meals, and summit access)
  • Entry into a global network of over 2,000 young leaders from more than 190 countries
  • Leadership development and mentorship from global experts, policymakers, and industry leaders
  • International exposure for your venture and ideas
  • Pre- and post-programme engagements designed to help you refine, scale, and sustain your business impact
  • Opportunities to collaborate with fellow entrepreneurs and build long-term partnerships

This programme is designed to equip you not just for the summit, but for long-term success as a change-maker.


Who Should Apply

The scholarship is open to ambitious young entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 18–35 by the date of the One Young World Summit in November 2026
  • Founder, co-founder, or key team member of a scalable start-up or SME
  • Actively leading or contributing to a venture with clear social and/or environmental impact
  • Able to demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a strong commitment to positive change
  • Possess a working understanding of English, as all programme activities will be conducted in English
  • Available to participate full-time between 30 October – 7 November 2026, including required pre- and post-programme activities

Eligible Countries

Applicants must be nationals and residents of one of the following countries:

Ethiopia, Jordan, Lebanon, Mozambique, Uganda, Tunisia, Palestine, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Benin, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, South Africa, Burundi, Iraq (including the Kurdistan region), Sudan, Mali, and Algeria.
